What is Rental Yield?
Rental yield is the return on investment for a property, expressed as a percentage. It tells you how much cash the property generates relative to its purchase price.
- Gross Yield: Total annual rent divided by property price. Good for a quick check.
- Net Yield: Annual rent MINUS expenses, divided by property price. This is the real number that matters.
